In order to ensure that the products conform to the customers'
specifications, SKP has
established a quality control department to monitor the entire
manufacturing process.
Upon receiving an order from a customer, SKP will study the
specifications given by the customer and produce a sample
batch. All samples produced under the sample batch are subject
to a "first article inspection" wherein each sample
is examined individually to ensure that the customer's specifications
are strictly adhered to before the actual mass production
commences. Actual mass production will only commence when
the sample batch meets the specifications of the said customer.
Upon the commencement of mass production, random sampling
is conducted during the production process to ensure that
the products consistently comply with the specifications set
by the customer. A final outgoing inspection is undertaken
prior to the products being sent for packaging or transferred
to the other sections for secondary processes.
The quality assurance department currently has 24 qualified
and experienced personnel. In addition to having quality assurance
personnel, the Group also provides extensive training to its
employees to provide quality products and services to its
customers.
SKP has continuously met the needs of its customers with
premium products and services. SKP has since 1996 adopted
the Underwriters' Laboratories Standards of US for its quality
control process with respoect to all products manufactured
for the MNCs. In addition, all products are also inspected
using the General Inspection Guidelines, Level 2 wherein the
level of acceptable deviation for the sampling units must
be less than 0.65%.
